玫瑰花象徵愛情，為萬花中之女王，為世人所鐘愛。玫瑰花在日本古代稱為庚甲花、月季花或長壽花；是因一年當中庚甲之季第一朵玫瑰花開花，並一年開多次花，故又名長壽花。
